Democratic Club of Phelps County
Greetings all,
We will have our March Club meeting on March 28, 2024 at the Wellington Place Clubhouse starting at 6:00 p.m.
We will have a potluck dinner, so please bring food items to the Clubhouse a few minutes before the start of the meeting at 6 p.m.
The agenda for the evening will be:
Welcome, opening comments - 6:00 pm
Dinner - shortly after 6:00 pm
Speaker 1 - 6:45 p.m. - Franklin "Denny" Roth; Mr. Roth is running for the Democratic nomination to represent the MO-8th U.S. Congressional District in the House of Representatives. Note that he will be opposing Randi McCallian in the Democratic primary for this seat.
Speaker 2 - approximately 7:05 p.m. - David Stokely, Southwest Missouri Policy and Outreach Organizer for Renew Missouri (www.renewmo.org). From their website, here is some information about the organization:
"Renew Missouri was founded in 2006 to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency in the state of Missouri. In that time, Renew Missouri has advanced legislation, passed statewide ballot initiatives, crafted local ordinances, and represented these interests before state regulators on hundreds of cases."
Note that we will be at the Wellington Place Clubhouse for this meeting because the courthouse room will be used for preparing for the April 2 election. Here are directions to the Clubhouse:
