March 23, 2024: Democratic Presidential Primary. The deadline to register to vote in this election is February 21, 2024. April 2, 2024: General Municipal Election. The deadline to register to vote in this election is March 6, 2024. August 6: Primary Election date. The deadline to register to vote in this election is July 10, 2024. November 5: General Election date. The deadline to register to vote in this election is October 9, 2024. |
ABOUT VOTER ID (from the Missouri Secretary of State's Website) If you are registered to vote, you can vote!You will need to show an acceptable form of ID when you go to vote. Show one of the following forms of acceptable identification and sign the poll book to obtain your ballot:
*If the driver or non-driver license has expired after the most recent general election, it is an acceptable form of voter ID. If you do not possess any of these forms of identification, but are a registered voter, you may cast a provisional ballot. Your provisional ballot will count if: (1) you return to your polling place on Election Day with a photo ID; or (2) the signature on your provisional ballot envelope is determined by your local election authority to match the signature on your voter registration record. If you cast a provisional ballot, you will receive a stub from your provisional ballot envelope with instructions on how to verify that your provisional ballot is counted. |
VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT Legal Reason for Voting by Absentee Ballot: 1. Absence on election day 2. Incapacity or confinement due to illness or physical disability, including caring for a person who is incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability 3. Religious belief or practice 4. Employment as an election authority or by the election authority (for example, as an election judge) at a location other than your polling place 5. Incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained 6. Certified participation in the address confidentiality program (“Safe at Home”) established under 589.660 to 589.681, RSMo, because of safety concerns Having contracted COVID-19, or being in an at-risk category for severe COVID-19, no longer qualifies as a legal reason for absentee voting, with the lapse of the law that was only in effect for part of 2020.
