What's Coming Up
November General Meeting and Potluck Dinner
Greetings all!
We are going to have our November General Meeting on November 21 at the Phelps County Courthouse Multipurpose Room starting at 6:00 p.m. The Club will provide turkey! And we ask that members/attendees bring a Thanksgiving side dish and/or dessert.
Our speaker will be Dr. Beth Kania-Gosche, Chair of the Education Department at MS&T. Her topic will be "The Educator and Childcare Provider Shortage in Missouri." Here is a description of her talk:
"Education, the foundation of our communities, is crumbling in rural areas. More than half of Missourians do not have access to quality childcare. Staffing and resourcing rural schools is challenging in today’s funding environment. Come learn more about the shortage and contributing factors."
The schedule for the evening will be:
5:45-6:00 - Members bring side dishes and desserts to the kitchen
6:00 - Meeting begins with welcome and moment of thanks and buffet dinner
6:45 - Speaker and Q&A session.
7:15 - Election recap
7:45 - Meeting adjourn
We look forward to seeing everyone. Bring a friend!
